Chrome 83 has finally arrived introducing increased security settings.
Right now it is available for Mac, iOS, Linux, Windows, and Android. This update combines rebooted safety features, an option that allows disabling cookies when you are browsing in Incognito, plus additional options for developers.
Google had previously temporarily stopped Chrome update releases because of the COVID-19 lockdown, which led to the delay of Chrome 81 and leave Chrome 82 out entirely.
The former “People” section now has sync controls to help choose what data should be stored in a Google Account on all devices. The “Clear Browsing History” feature has been relocated to Privacy&Security.
A renovated Safety Check will inform if any of the passwords memorized by Chrome are jeopardized, the Safe Browsing service is enabled, or if any malware extensions are active.
