Hey, an email service app previously kicked off the App Store, is back after some negotiations with Apple.
The app reportedly violated the terms and conditions after Apple realized that Hey demanded its subscribers to sign up the subscriptions through the Basecamp website. But this is how Apple was basically losing the 30% cut since the users didn’t use the Store-acquired Hey app for that.
Apple put a block on Hey, requiring its team to alter the software version. Hey eventually complied, and the remade app is now up on the App Store again.
Hey is a paid ESP that prides itself on not collecting data from its users or pitching adds to them. For that, it charges $99 a year.
