It is indeed quite a herculean effort to vaccinate a billion-plus population. The science and logistics required are truly mind-blowing. It is even more difficult when you happen to be the second-largest country of virus cases and resultant deaths. Fortunately, there is a ray of light in that this country is a medicine producing world hub. It has the technology and science capability to achieve this task. Consequently, it is working and seeking emergency approval for its own two vaccines. The capability to produce enough vaccines from producing the products of others already approved is a big plus. As a result, 400 million doses produced by July is the target. It is critically important. To vaccinate all the population requires a billion units. They are adamant that 60% will secure herd immunity. Not all the population has to be vaccinated is the thinking.
