Myriads of cicadas will soon arise from the earth in some parts of the U.S.

It is expected that around 3.75 million cicadas per hectare could appear in some North Carolina and West and Southwest Virginia areas. Eric Day from the Tech Department of Entomology in Virginia is quoted by CNN, warning that the residents should be prepared for quite a peace disturbance that will come with these insects.

But he also hopes that the community will be understanding and will not mind the cicada concerts that much since this experience is really rare.

The local cicadas are supposed to sing for 4-6 weeks, which is required for them to procreate before dying. For certain species, this will the first comeback in almost two decades, which how their life naturally is.
